Well the day has come! The last couple months of my rein have been fun and easy going. I have attended parades and continued to help with Turtle Races.
This past week I have had the pleasure to work with ten beautiful women as they get ready to compete for Miss Perham/Miss HOTL 2011. It has been wonderful to get to know these girls and help them on their journey. Good luck to all of you! Just remember to shine and be yourself! If you are interested in watching our fabulous pageant it is at 7:00 p.m. this Friday evening (tonight) at the Perham High School Auditorium.
Although I am sad to know my year of Miss Perham is up, I know that my year was filled and successful. I cannot thank the people that have helped me through my rein enough. The support and love was amazing. I am excited to see where my life takes me after this opportunity.
Thank you for reading and supporting me on this road. Now it is time for me to say my final blog goodbye as Miss Perham 2010. God bless all of you and see you soon!

Miss MN Week: Part 7
This is my final post on my experience at Miss Minnesota 2011. It was a fantastic night last night, I was able to dance opening number and the energy in the crowd was amazing. Congrats to Natalie Davis, the new Miss Minnesota. The girls that made the top ten were fantastic and I am so proud of all of you. I would like to take the time to thank all you girls for your love and support. The spirit award means the world to me, so I thank you for giving me such a high honor. I hope to see all of the girls through out this summer. This experience was truly amazing and I can see my growth as a woman already. I would like to thank the board and everyone that took part in this wonderful program, it was an amazing show. To our Children's Miracle child, you rock and were wonderful on stage, you are so deserving of the award, Emily.
Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and support through out this journey.

Miss MN Week: Part 6
Today has been an interesting day. I woke up this morning with incredible pain in my ankle and got nauseated walking to the bathroom. I stayed behind while the other girls went to the golf tournament so that I could be picked up to get my ankle x-rayed. I had some fantastic angels helping me through out last night back stage, at the hotel and today at the hotel and during my clinic visit. Angels, you know who you are, and I cannot thank you enough for your wonderful help I appreciated it very much. At the clinic I was given a brace and some pain medication to help me through the next couple days and the x-ray showed no signs of a fracture or break, which is a complete blessing. Thank you to all my Miss MN ladies that prayed for me and supported me after my talent. We are one fantastic family and I love you all very much. Tonight I do plan on competing in evening gown and fitness in swim suit. Please keep the prayers coming and I hope to see you all soon.
Hope to see you tonight!

Miss MN Week: Part 5
Today was crazy! We started off with interview, which was fantastic and the judges were amazing. We then got ready for our first night of prelims. I practiced my talent and watched others perform theirs. The first night opening number went extremely well. Onstage questions were next for the first half of us girls. Everyone did well. Then the second half of us performed swim suit and evening gown followed by a short intermission and then the first half of us performed our talents. I loved the energy of the crowd I enjoyed showcasing my talent! Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle about two eight counts before my talent ended. I finished my dance and tried to walk off stage as normal as possible. Everyone said it was hardly noticeable but I still felt crummy about the whole thing. I was unable to walk in the parade of gowns at the end of the night. After that we had a short gathering to see our family and friends. The whole day was filled with hairspray and earrings flying everywhere and girls looking fabulous. Extremely good night for Miss Minnesota’s prelims besides my incident!
Hope to see you all tomorrow!

Miss MN Week: Part 4
Today we got to the hotel early but I am worn out! We started the day off with breakfast at the Original Pancake house then we had all day rehearsal and ended the day with bowling and pizza. Many of you know that I am not a very good bowler but my team got second place! Aja, Emily, Rachael, and I all got cute little note cards as a prize! Rehearsal today was opening numbers, swim suit, and evening gown walks. Those of you that are coming to the show are in for a treat! I cannot believe that tomorrow is our first day of competition. I will be starting the day early so I am going to go work off that pizza and catch up on my paper work.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow!

Miss MN Week: Part 3
Hello everyone!
I know that it is early but I will not have time later to write. Today we are starting our day off at the zoo and then we will be moving our pageant clothing to the theatre and rehearsing the rest of the day. Again, we will be eating our meals at some fantastic restaurants and enjoying our time together before the game is "on." All the girls are wonderful and this truly is a wonderful experience.
Have a good day and I hope to see you later this week!

Miss MN Week: Part 2
Today was another fun filled day. We spent our morning at Gillett Children's Hospital and got to see where all our fundraising money goes. First, I was able to take a tour and see what the facility had to offer the patients and learn the history of the foundation. After that we had a wonderful time decorating cookies with the patients and their loved ones. Gillett then provided a delicious dinner for us. Afterwards we went to the capital, this trip included a tour and meeting our governor. We then took pictures for our lovely sponsors and went to eat at Fuddruckers. It was an amazing and tiring day. Now we are off to rehearsal!
Keep reading and I hope to see you later this week!
